30 Years of the Trust!

On March 16, 2010 the Heritage of London Trust celebrated its 30th birthday with a lavish reception at the Lansdowne Club in the presence of our Patron, HRH The Duke of Gloucester, KG, GCVO. It is a tribute to the foresight, dedication and efforts of our two founders, Willie Bell and Sir John Lambert, that the Trust is even more relevant and necessary now in London that it was back in 1980.

We have invested over £3 million in over 400 regeneration projects across London and we are very proud of these achievements. Over 160 guests were in attendance as teh wine flowed and music based on the Cries of London played beneath teh vast vaulted ceiling of the lansdowne House Ballroom. HOLT Trustee Dudley Fishburn and HRH The Duke of Gloucester gave speeches praising the trust's incredible achievements over teh part 30 years, which have ranged from helping to uncover a forgotten Tudor Manor House in Bromley-by-Bow to giving a grant towards the restoration of railings at St martin's in the Fields.

The party was made possible through gracious support from the Canary Wharf Group and the Golden Bottle Trust, and nearly £5,000 was raised towards future projects.
